Fire Magnolia
This is the name of a fictional band that I was delighted to help create with a few friends of mine some years ago! All characters and ideas belong to their respective owners. Most of them have since moved on from the project but I've been happy to carry the torch thus far.
Fire Magnolia was a progressive rock band starting in 1968 and spanning past the early '80s. They're well known for their experimental sound and would go on to influence many bands of their genre. Below are two stories of musicians who work with the band, for brief or for long, for better or for worse.
"Riding The Rods"
This story follows Custer Buckley, an English singer-songwriter who went from '50s country music to early '70s southern rock. His career is marked by extreme ups and downs, however, and it's these that drive his life with his lonely attempts to win over the world.

"Everything's Coming Up Clover"
Warning: Contains sexual themes, but nothing explicit
This story, meanwhile, follows Clover Hill, a keyboardist with two faces. The one that people see is hypnotic, charming, patient, a model. But the other, the one he tried to leave in his childhood, is driven by a furious vengence and desperation for the love that he was denied of for so long. In his attempt to be loved by everyone, however, he may just be loved by no one for public opinion can flip on a dime and enslave us to its standards of beauty.
