The Bloodhounds
This is the name of a fictional band that I was delighted to help create with a few friends of mine some years ago! All characters and ideas belong to their respective owners. Most of them have since moved on from the project but I've been happy to carry the torch thus far.
Starting out as a surf rock group in 1963, Shannon and the Surfers would rename themselves the Bloodhounds in the summer of '65 following a year long hiatus. They became a folk rock group, and quickly went from local fame in their home state of California to national recognition. Following the release of their third album of that era, however, the band would slowly fall apart due to several both creative and personal disputes. They would officially break up in 1968.
"Ballad of a Bloodhound" (Working title) follows the intersecting lives of Emile Duncan and Josephine Lewis (owned by sweet sweet Mel) as they enter the L.A. music scene with innocence and naive expectations of love, go through stress, heartbreak, and betrayal, and come out with a deeper appreciation for those who stuck around. Below is just one half of the tale.
