The Burning Butterfly

Charlie Holley, otherwise known by the stage name of The Butterfly, runs a modest circus with the help of Eloise, Johnny, and twins Jennifer and Carrie. Although funds are tight, their performances are slowly gaining traction due to their talent and charisma. Charlie's little brother Fred, however, is terribly ill and the reason he began circus work in the first place was to raise money for his expensive treatment. Due to Charlie's humble nature, it's a secret only the other performers know about, but things have only started to look bleaker for poor Fred's health. Remainder of the plot is scheduled to be reworked.

Setting: The industrial harbor town of Borchelt in northern England, 1967
