Tucker Holland
Male - Falcon - 19 - 5'5
Tucker Holland is a young falcon that lives in a trailer park with his grandmother in a small town by the sea. Although his family constantly encourages him to find a job, he finds work boring and wants to be a surfer instead. Much to their distaste, he dreams of fame, shiny cars, and hot chicks. Every hour that he's not in the trailer and expected to be getting pay, he's instead either playing at the coastline or honing his skills.
When he'd been sent to live with his grandmother that summer, he saw his punishment as a blessing instead. The town had a pretty well-known surfing community, after all, and the perfect beaches for it. All things considered, he's fairly talented and wants nothing more than for people to recognize him for it. As he'd soon find out, however, he's got a tough crowd to please and the community is a lot different from how he imagined in his dreams.
Personality
Although Tucker mainly just wants to be appreciated for his skills like anyone else, he is a bit overconfident and rebellious. He tends to get frustrated easily when things don't go his way which makes it easy for people wanting to get a rise out of him. That being said, he is still very steadfast and will stop at nothing to achieve his goals, even if that also includes not getting a job.
In his desire to prove himself to others, however, he can sometimes go a bit far and can be easily manipulated into doing something dumb if he thinks it'll make him look courageous. Overall, he's your typical ambitious teen that's just a little too ambitious for his own good and somewhat naive.
Appearance
Tucker is a tan-feathered falcon with a yellow beak and legs. He has dark brown upper arms, C-shaped stripes under his eyes, and teardrop spots running down his chest. His three tail feathers are short with white stripes followed by dark brown tips. His straight hair is also medium-length and a warm brown. He's fairly thin and has a very average build albeit with notably little muscle. Not to mention he is considerably short for his age.
Like any teen, Tucker likes to wear what's hot. His usual outfit consists of a red and white striped button-up with short sleeves. It's tucked into light tan pants that tightly end just below his knees.
Backstory
Early Life
Born in Dallas, Texas, Tucker grew up among a lower middle class family. They had a small house in the suburbs, an old car, and made little more than they needed to live on. Coming from a long line of humble clerks and repairers, his parents were very no-nonsense and raised Tucker to be like the rest of them. After all, if it isn't broke, why fix it?
Tucker was destined to keep the balance, or so it seemed at first. Throughout elementary school he was a quiet and obedient kid. He even skipped an entire grade thanks to his exceptional skill in reading and math. But following his parents orders all the time didn't lead to much of a childhood.
Later Years
Entering his teens, Tucker would make a sudden shift in behavior. He became more rowdy, skipping school and causing a ruckus in the house. Although his parents tried their best to impede on this growing nature, the ball was already rolling. Heavily influenced by youth music and television, he cared less about books and equations and more about girls and rock n' roll. Yet there was one thing that fascinated him more than anything else: surfing. Needless to say, his parents weren't pleased. They began to restrict him from his favorite entertainment, but he always found a way to sneak around them.
As soon as he graduated from school, they heavily encouraged him to get a job. He could at least manage a simple one to start out, right? Turned out making Tucker work was far easier said than done. Distracted by constant surfer daydreams, he always found a way to make a mess- and that was if he even showed up. His track record became so bad that local businesses refused to hire him. His parents even had to pay damages when he scratched up a fancy car at a carwash. That was the final straw for them. At last his parents decided that keeping him around was a chore too difficult. Tucker was a lost cause. There was only one person who had the slightest chance of knocking some sense into him.
When they broke the news that he was moving to Stingbush, California to live with his grandmother, however, Tucker was secretly delighted. The town was small and directly by the coast- the ideal surfing spot. In trying to teach him, his parents had accidentally brought him closer than ever to his dream.
It wasn't long after moving into that trailer park that he bought his first real surfboard and ran off to meet the community. His grandmother Mona was no more happy about his priorities but didn't keep him from the water, sensing that he'd be disappointed before long. Sure enough, the nearest beach was already occupied by a group of far bigger and more experienced surfers. Ever since meeting him, they seemed set on undermining and humiliating him in every way possible. First they pushed his buttons with insults like "weakling" and "shorty". When they became bored of that, they played crueler pranks such as stealing his dates from right under him. But Tucker didn't give up easily. He was quickly determined to prove himself as a better surfer than any of them could dream to be if they only gave him the chance. Thus began their great surfer rivalry.
