Living a modest retirement in a small trailer park near the coast of Stingbush, Mona was ready to live the rest of her years in peace and quiet. That was, until her daughter in Texas called in regards to her own son, Tucker. His misbehavior and failure at getting a job had become too much and the plan was to send him Mona's way to knock some sense into the rambunctious teen. Now Mona didn't exactly want this, but he was sent over anyway. The following summer was filled with "I don't need a job, I'm gonna be a famous surfer!" and "What do you know? I don't see you working!" And instead of quiet, there were those awful sounds he referred to as "rock and roll".
She already knew he was far gone the moment he stepped foot into California. As such, she doesn't seem to care when he runs off to the beach every chance he gets. That being said, she makes her views on his surfing dream very clear. She's only waiting for the day that he'll come home with his tail between his legs, realizing that life in the fast lane isn't all that it's cut out to be.
