- Mike - Great-tailed grackle
These birds are extremely common here in Dallas and are a proud symbol of urban Texas. Or at least, they definitely should be. The great-tailed grackle represents not only Mike's Texan-ness but also his tall stature, and maybe slight sassiness. Sitting on a telephone line, it'll let you know it's still sophisticated with a glare, and maybe a yodel.
- Micky - L'Hoest's monkey
Wouldn't it have been funnier if none of them were monkeys? Well, listen here buddy. In all of his infectious silliness and energetic singing power, Micky is the very model of a Monkee. His random talents that come up in the show suggest an extremely strong intelligence, just used sporatically. But wouldn't that prehensile tail help with drumming? Too bad there are no monkeys native to the states, though; I had to settle.
- Peter - Pigeon
The harmless, peace-loving pigeon. Many assume that this city bird is quite dumb, and for Peter in the show, this is nothing short of true. Just like him in real life, however, pigeons are actually very intelligent. We've trained them to carry messages and direct missiles for a reason, after all! Not that Peter would have anything to do with the latter, though.
- Davy - Hazel Dormouse
A fairytalesque symbol of England (probably?), dormice, like all mice, are very small. No need to get excited. Mice in general are very popular as cute animals, too, with their little faces and big sparkily eyes. But here's a new fact! The brightly-colored pop stars that are the hazel dormice are the only dormouse native to the British Isles.
